  1. Preheat the oven to 350˚F.
  2. Stir the dry ingredients together in a large bowl.
  3. Combine the remaining ingredients in a mixer bowl.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the mixer bowl and mix thoroughly.
  5. Wrap the dough closely in foil or plastic and chill at least 4 hours.
  6. Roll the dough out thin.
  7. Cut with cookie cutters.
  8. Bake on ungreased pans for about 8 minutes.
  9. Frost with Royal Icing if desired.

These are something my mom made at Christmas when we were growing up, but then it became a tradition for her to make these with Ryan. They're very good; the only reason I don't typically make them is because I don't really like making cutout cookies. Frost with Royal Icing.
