Instructions
  1. Combine everything in a heavy saucepan and bring to a boil.
  2. Turn heat down and simmer, uncovered until all the fruit is tender, about a half hour.
  3. Cool thoroughly before serving.
  4. Can leave it chunky, or mash it lightly. Don’t purée it: it will have a weird texture.
