  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Mix cornmeal, flour, baking powder and salt.
  3. Add egg, milk and 4 teaspoons of corn oil, blend thoroughly.
  4. Add corn.
  5. Coat bottom and sides of 9-inch cast iron skillet with oil then pour in batter.
  6. Bake until firm to touch; brown, but be careful not to let the bottom burn.
