Nice to have in the refrigerator for a breakfast or snack; perfect for salad bar dinners. Here’s the easiest way to hard boil eggs with no cracking or worry about timing.
Put however many eggs you wish to cook in a pot, and cover with cold water (a few inches over their little tops, so it doesn’t boil down too far while cooking).
Put the burner on high and bring the water to a boil.
As soon as the pot comes to a boil, turn the burner off and remove the pot. Set a timer for fifteen minutes.
When the timer goes off, drain the pot of the hot water, and run cold water into the pot to cool the eggs so they stop cooking.
